Six Sentence Sunday, May 22nd

Okay, enough with the romance for now. In this scene from the WIP I'm shopping around, By Hook or By Crook, Ivy has lost her battle to keep her sister from marrying the wrong guy. The wedding has taken place, and she consoles herself that regardless of her preferences, at least the couple are really in love. The gang member holding them hostage, Ramirez, isn't impressed with her logic:

Ramirez snorted on the other side of the room. "Please, the guy is as dumb as a goat. I wouldn't want my sister married to him."
Joe eyed him. "You're some judge of character, huh? If we want to know what a henchman to a dirt-bag gangster thinks, you'll be the first one we ask, okay?"

"Smart as a goat"==> Love that. Don't goats eat clothing? Love the six and there are two strong characters here. Nice tension.

Dumb as a goat! LOL! Love how the henchman horns in on the debate. (Pun, what pun?)

Love the comeback. Though I'm not sure it was the best move. :)
