His pupils grew darker. The awe she had seen on his face was gone, replaced by stark desire. She leaned in closer, sliding her hands around his neck, stroking the hair at the nape of his neck. She lifted her lips up to his, waiting. He stood stock still, unmoving, arms at rest by his sides. Her confidence never wavered. For once, she was in control of the situation with a man.
